#06 Why Taking a Break should be a daily priority.
Work yourself to the bone…Only hard work will get you there…Successful people are successful because they never stop and always go go go!
Sounds familiar? Most of us were brought up with the belief that the harder you work the better you’ll be and the faster you’ll get to where you want to be… while it is crucial to do your part, it is JUST as crucial to take a break to refuel, re-energize and reset your mind to think clearer and be more creative.
We talked about:
How we have been conditioned to work ourselves to a burn-out to ensure success
Missing the point of building a life of freedom rather
How we feel guilty about taking a rest because it is all in our hands now.
How not taking a break has a negative effect on your life and business.
The importance of blocking off or scheduling your day with a time-out.
Especially as entrepreneurs we don’t know how to hit the breaks anymore, there is just so much to do still at the end of each day, and if that’s done always something new to tackle. However, just going on relentlessly can wear us out to the point where we are not able to function to our best abilities anymore and can also destroy the very thing we love doing.
Lightbulb moment: We need to take enough breaks! Even if you love what you do, you need to give yourself space to ensure you’ll keep on loving what you do!
