#13 Why Keeping your worries close will give you more of what you don’t want.

Episode #13

Is worry ever present in your life? Can everything go right but still your brain is hooked on that ONE thing that COULD go wrong?

We think that keeping a close eye on our potential disasters will enable us to control them and prevent them from happening when, unfortunately, the exact opposite is true!

In today's episode, we talk about why we worry and what shifts to make to create happier and more conducive thoughts and feelings.

We talked about:

  • Why we choose keep our worries close

  • The illusion that the answers are in our conscious (thinking) minds

  • The difference between letting go and ignorance

  • How to let go and turn negative thoughts into positive ones

When you do worry:

  • Detach and think it through

  • Brainstorm possible solutions

  • Do what you can

  • If you can’t do anything, put the question out there and let go

  • Should the problem ACTUALLY come true...you will have the means to deal with it.

It is as simple as shifting your thoughts from a problem based approach to a solution based environment. This will attract the answer or positive outcome or at the very least, reserve your energy and mental capacity for whatever may occur.

We leave you with a quote from the Dalai Lama: “If it can be solved, there’s no need to worry, and if it can’t be solved, worry is of no use.”

Lightbulb moment: When you keep worries in plain sight you are not controlling them. You are manifesting them.
