#16 Purpose. The painful Buzzword of our Times.

Episode #16

Very few people are fortunate enough to know exactly what they want to do for the rest of their lives from their 5th birthday. For most of us, especially in the world we live in now, it can be a source of great anxiety and despondency if we have NO CLUE what this amazing, mind-blowing thing is we are supposed to do in this life-time.

If that’s you, you’ll love this episode! We dig in to how times have changed and what we perceive as the reason for this word to have become so weighted in recent times and also offer an alternative perspective on it!

We talked about:

  • How finding a purpose can be such a source of pain and despair.

  • The transactional nature of everything - what is the reward?

  • The new awareness of the fact that we can do and create ANYTHING.

  • The overwhelm of choices and possibilities.

  • How your purpose does not HAVE to be the thing you get paid to do.

What if purpose had nothing to do with what you do on the outside but rather the driving force that guides and directs your actions. How will you show up differently in your daily life?

Lightbulb moment: Your purpose is often an undercurrent and not a specific activity.
