#63 The Consultation Session

Updated: Mar 9, 2022

Episode #63

Episode 4 out of 5 of our series for coaches and consultants! In the last 2 Episodes we focused on the topics of getting online and in-person clients for your coaching business.

This week, we're focusing on what to do with those new leads once they walk through your door or show up on your screen.

The consultation session can be very daunting if you have no experience, yet it is the one session where you want to show that you have got this together so the client feels comfortable to sign up with you for further sessions. This is what we will be diving in to in this weeks episode!

Here's a glimpse at what we discussed during this episode:

  • What is a consultation session?

  • What purpose does it serve?

  • How it serves both the client AND coach.

  • You don't have to say yes to everyone!

  • Should it be free or paid? We go through the pros and cons.

  • What result you want from a consultation session.

  • How to prepare for the session and what to have handy.

  • Some tips and tricks on what to do and use.

Lightbulb moment: Consultation sessions should serve both the client and coach. It is not to manipulate people into buying, but rather to establish how the client will benefit and how the coach will be able to help.
